Suggested Schedule

Sunday Evening:

Upon your group's arrival, begin with a delicious home-cooked all-you-can-eat meal. We will take the time to orientate your group to the camp, introduce staff and fill everyone in on all the week's activities. Spend the rest of the evening settling into the bunkhouse, playing sand volleyball, or sitting by the campfire to ease out the travel doldrums.

Monday:

Hike to Hidden Falls! - one of the rare mountain hideaways destined to uplift anyone. Follow up with a delicious barbecue lunch next to String Lake. (approximately 62 miles round trip)

Aerial Tram ride! - Experience God's beauty from the top of Rendezvous Mountain, the highest tramway in the lower 48 states- 4,139 ft. vertical! (approximately 3 miles round trip)

Bar J. Chuckwagon! - For supper, experience true western hospitality on a working cattle ranch. Spend an evening of hearty eating, tall tales, and music at this dinner show. (approximately 3 miles round trip)

Tuesday:

Yellowstone!- Visit the world's first and best National Park! See Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Hot Spring, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Black Dragon's Cauldron, and view some of the park's animals which include moose, elk, deer, buffalo...and perhaps even a grizzly or black bear. Tour the entire day sightseeing and hiking in the fabulous creation of our God! (approximately 290 miles round trip)

Wednesday:

Hike to Ampitheater Lake! - Rising 4,000 feet from the valley floor, this is a challenging but breathtaking 11-mile hike to a beautiful lake surrounded by trees and cliffs. (approximately 25 miles round trip)

Jackson Hole Rodeo! - Enjoy an evening of Old West entertainment that's certain to keep you on the edge of your seat. (approximately 14 miles round trip)

Thursday:

Whitewater Raft on 8 1/4 miles of the famed Snake River followed by an afternoon of swimming at the naturally heated Granite Hot Springs. In the evening, your group can enjoy a game of volleyball, basketball, frisbee, soccer, football, or enjoy one of the games in the Rec room. You can also enjoy the warm fireplace in the lodge, or join in at a campfire outdoors. (approximately 70 miles round trip)

Friday:

This day will be left to your own choice with options like...

  • an overnight back-packing trip
  • a short hike to Phelps Lake Overlook and Phelps Canyon (16 miles R.T.)
  • a climb up the South Teton where you will stand on a mountain peak in the Teton range (elevation 12,514 ft.- 50 miles R.T.)
  • an afternoon swimming at Granite Hot Springs (a 104+ F. natural hot springs nestled in the mountains of Wyoming.) (100 miles R.T.)
  • mountain biking (mileage varies)
  • shopping in town (17 miles R.T.)
  • Jeep tours (14 miles R.T.)
  • an afternoon horseback riding (17 mi.R.T.)
  • riding the Alpine Slide (17 miles R.T.)
  • relaxing at camp
  • seeing an authentic Old West shoot-out in Jackson (17 miles R.T.)

Other Options:

  • Morning Bible studies led by Rev. Don Landis, who is owner of Rocky Mountain Lodge, president of JHBC, and pastor of Community Bible Church of Jackson Hole. Tapes available upon request.
  • Evening devotions around a campfire to bring the day to a close with a time of spiritual insight and sharing with one another.
